I'm Richard, currently living in London and always on the move. My roots lie in engineering and automation technology, and I switched to computer science for my studies. Although my courses had a focus on embedded systems, I gathered a lot of know-how in modern web-development at different companies.
In my free time I love to be outdoors, climbing up a mountain. While I'll never get rid of technology, at least I try to get offline at home.
During my studies I had the opportunity to work on projects at very interesting companies. I always had the feeling that I've learned more at work than at the university, and I even had more fun. The projects ranged from low power embedded systems to high performance server applications, and anything in between. After co-founding two companies in the FinTech area, I've decided to move to London.
I always like the combination of Hardware with Software. Wearable technology, IoT and rapid prototyping are just a few buzzwords of my interests. I like challenges that seem impossible, where one can use his whole imagination and creativity to solve it.
Working at various clients including Lloyds Banking Group, where I was developing an onboarding application in Javascript (React and NodeJS).
Prototypes and agency work in FinTec area.
